MAP Stainless Steel O2 Eliminator Downpipe on lhd Evo 9

A friend is interested in getting the MAP Stainless Steel O2 Eliminator Downpipe for his JDM Right Hand Drive (LHD) Evo 9 GSR but when he contacted MAP, they said it would not fit. To the best of my knowledge there would be no difference.

Can anyone confirm if there would be any fitment issues?

Any alternative suggestions for a RHD screamer pipe + down pipe setup that would fit?

I'm not sure why they said it wont fit, nothing that side of the motor would be LHD/RHD dependent.
Being a RHD evo owner myself I have never heard of a LHD/RHD specific front/dump pipe. The only thing i can imagine being LHD/RHD specific would be all driver controls ( steering, braking, clutch systems). I have even seen a few evos here with a map downpipe

Be careful buying any piece like that for stock turbo, it will not be worth much once all the OEM turbine housing turbos are completely gone. I would just recommend a standard downpipe and a recirculated o2 housing instead.
