I was pulling off the cam gear cover last night just to lookover a few thing on my valve cover. When I removed the cam gear cover I noticed oil/residue on the sides. I’m not sure if this is a poor job done with a valve gasket seal or possibly a seal down from the oil pump seal that went bad.
Lots of seals up front.. could be vc if you've had it off before, could be cam seals, could be crank seal or the bolt for the tensioner that didn't get sealed. Take it all apart and find the wettest part. I would do it soon, that belt isn't going to take that soaking for long.

thanks for the suggestions...I'm a bit worried about the belt too..bothers me its getting his wet. The person who had it after me put a different set of cams than I originally did so valve cover gasket could in question. I'll do my best to check everything out this weekend.
Thank you for input on this..This definitely helps out!
I'm going to replace it for sure.
like i said, just a guess. i'm basing it on the pictures, which are a bit blurry.. not that you could really find the source with all the parts in the way. LOL
assuming you change the timing belt, the cam gears come right off and then you will know for sure. the edge of the valve cover will be right there. if they look good, then the timing covers are only a couple more minutes. then you should be able to tell where the leak is, without a doubt.
