I bought my first EVO 8! Maintenance Suggestions?

Hello everyone! I am really happy, I just bought an Evo 8 I have finally a car wich I want to keep for my whole life

It has 96k Miles, so I am thinking of doing a good overall maintenance. The car is basically stock, it has an AEM Fuel Rail and modified fuel pump.

Reading the Scheduled Maintenance Service and for some prevention, I would like to change: spark plugs, timing belt and drive belt, all fluids (radiator, brakes, transfer, transaxle, engine, power steering), oil filter and air filter.

Anyone with experience can suggest something that I am missing or any suggestions?
Also, what do you think of the Gates Carbon Kevlar drive and timing belt?
And last, has anyone ordered something from www.extremepsi.com ? any problems?

Thank you very much for your time

Yes just change ALL the fluids and filters, belts, correct gap plugs, get tuned in that order.
100k miles is nothing for a well maintained EVO!

I think I purchased from them, for my old eclipse, a very long time ago and had no issues. Recently, I did timing belt/water pump and pulleys. I purchased the kit here. http://www.maperformance.com/evoluti...ater-pump.html

It was the best pricing I found getting the combination of oem/gates parts with the Gates Racing belts. Be sure to drain coolant before removing water pump as well.

Engine, tranny, diff are all pretty normal drain and fill. Be sure to look up on how to do the transfer case though as there are a couple ways to do it.

Congratulations on the purchase. Its an awesome car to have!

If it were me I would change timing belt / balance shaft belt. Use gates blue or OEM.
I would also do all the timing bearings and tensioner. Water pump and all fluids.
Then I would know when they were done last and that they were done right.
Try to stick to OEM parts so you have no question about the quality.

I have ordered form Extremepsi.com for years. I buy most of my evo parts from them. They always get to me super fast and have the best price. They also give back so you can build free credit on your next order. It adds up quick!

Check out the sticky on oil filters.

Make sure it's tuned, all the fluids changed and you should be good to go . Of course check any codes if it has any. Maybe tires rotated?

Bought many evo parts from extremepsi.com. Never had a problem. Usually get parts the next business day. Definitely recommend
