TurboTimers
You might not need one if the evo 8 has water cooled turbos. If it's oil cooled it's better to have a turbo timer.
Reason is that the turbos' will over heat when the engine is off and oil stops circulating.
Water cooled is from coolent. It is a pressurized system and when the engine is off it'll go 1 cycle before it drains back to the radiator. "enough time to cool the turbos". That is what wrx's have now and it's not requried to leave car running. With the technology today turbo times are the thing of the past

Greddy has got one of the best turbo-timers around. My cuz's got one for his WRX, works beautifully...and only $100.
Greddy Turbo-timer!
If you really do need a turbo timer, I would definately go for this one!

Reguardless of what some people might think, a turbo timer is a MUST have on turbo charged vehicles.
Greddy makes a good T / timer, like Nightcrawler 01 mentioned for about $100. But you can get them for less if you look around.
Also they play music when they're counting down, which by the way is programmable. (if your into that kind of thing)
HKS also makes a good timer for about the same price. Their latest model has a built-in stop watch so you can time your 0-60 et's.
Blitz also has a couple timers that are pretty good.
