OEM Ported Manifold benefits?

OEM Ported Manifold benefits?

Any big benefits for a ported OEM evo 9 manifold?

Exhaust or intake? Either way there is a reason people port them..so yes there are benefits.

Porting exhaust manifold.

What else are you doing or have you done to the car? I would be carefull porting the manifold before the turbo unless you know what your doing. It's designed to flow and opening it up by porting could cause the flow to loose focus....

These are not technical terms and I can provide them if I get flamed better yet you just provide them. My only point is with no mods a ported exhaust manifold is waste of bits. Better to spend money opening it up after the turbo.

As VishnuEvo8 said, it depends if you're running bigger cams on a bigger turbo so that the head isn't limiting your potential. You'll free up some horsepower, not that noticeable though without what's stated above.

Save your money for FP race manifold. It flows better then ported stocker.

This keep your eye out for the "blemished" ones. They work just as good and are half as expensive.

I've got the FP cast mani before an FP black... thats been ported... when it was in my friends car, it had great spool and nice top end...
