It is about to be faster....

I am taking my car to Buschur tomorrow and was so excited I thought I would just tell everyone. I have been waiting for what seems like forever for all the parts to come in and to get on their schedule and the time has finally come.

They will have the car for a little over a week, so it will be partlly a sad week. However the anticipation of what it will be like when they are done will make it a good week.

I am getting a complete Stage 4 install including cams HKS 264/272, haed bolts, Flash, rear sway bar upgrade, and rear strut tower brace. I am so psyched...

Got a basement full of those beautiful UPS boxes for a couple weeks now. Scheduled for install Friday, can hardly sleep at night.

StreetPowerEvo,

Is that the one up north at the guys house? Can't remember his name off the top of my head. Anyway I will be out of town that day and will not be able to go. However I plan to be around most of the summer so we can definately get together. I do plan to go to the autocross event at the Kentucky speedway on April 18th and if there are any cincinnati autocorss events before then I will probably stop by there as well.

BTW - were you at Scarlet Oaks last Sunday. I went to watch. It was to cold and snowy for me to stay all day, but there were at least 6 Evo's running and two that showed up to watch. Threee of the six were modified and sounded awesome....

Yea UPS rocks; everytime I hear a truck on my street I get excited and run to see if I got anything

Chicken I missed this weekend at Scarlet b/c of work. Yea, the meeting is the one up north. I'm talking with Applaud, JR, and a few other people to get a caravan together to head up. Hopefully we'll be meeting the Quantum guys in Columbus as well for the 2nd half, should be a good time

I'll catch you at some point to check out your ride; I won't be competing but I"m sure I'll stop by a few auto-x's this summer

I love the excitement! The night before I got my Dynoflash was like Chirstmas Eve. I couldn't sleep! And "Santa" brought me about 60 extra hp and 80 lbft! Now 5pm is like Christmas every day... I get to leave work and drive my Evo!

Shahul,

I am not sure if the 264/272 is the way to go or not, but that is what I decided based on the information I got from talking with various people.

I was going with straight 264's intake and exhaust but was persuaded to go with a 272 exhaust for the extra power.

From what I understand the 272's deliver more power at the top end (above 5000 rpm) and I hear that the pull is just awesome. My EVO is my everyday car though and I was worried about the idle so I was going to go with straight street cams and get the 264's. However I am told that the intake cam is the one primarily responsiable for the idle so getting a 272 exhaust will not affect my idle. Ofcourse this is all hearsay...I will be able to give you a first hand report next week when I get my baby back.

The only fear I had was that my car would feel like it wants to die at idle when stopped at a light, but after talking wth several people that have the 264/272 setup and talking with Buschur I am confident that everything will be ok...

"custom" in person flash @ Agile in MD last Sat. The difference is amazing. I went in expecting a lot from what I've read here, and I feel I got even more. The butt-dyno is the real difference. The car feels like it's going to jump out of it's skin when I launch. Even with 3 people, it's easy to spin all 4 advans if I want.

My flash essentially amounts to Al's new Fireball 3 flash, or so he told me, so I assume someone with mods like mine, one could expect results like mine. I would recommend a simple MBC, like a Hallman or Buschur, though, as my Profec B was having issues holding boost.
