Seeking advice about APR EVIL-R wide bodykit
Hey all. I recently ordered the EVIL-R body kit through APRPerformance. I'm currently deployed overseas, so a friend of mine has my Evo and is putting the body kit on. I've talked to him a few times. He says for the price I paid it's pretty low quality, but he can work with it. He says a couple edges are wavy, one front fender has more gap by the door than the other, and the fenders don't want to meet like they should at the A-pillar; there's a gap (in the corner of the windshield). No pre-drilled holes or hardware. For anyone that has ordered the body kit, or anyone that would know, is that normal? I was just reading a post from 2011 with replies saying "you get what you pay for" and "cheaper kits won't have pre-drilled holes" https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-bout-kit.html. Well this isn't a cheap kit obviously. My body guy called them to ask for tech tips and they said there's none. Anyone have advice?

What you are describing is basically par for the course with all but the most expensive kits. Especially when it comes to a complete wide body kit, nothing is going to fit OEM. I have a friend who purchased a Tamon wide body kit for his S2000 ($8k) and was quoted another $9k to make everything fit perfect and paint the car. 9/10 times you don't just buy a body kit and bolt it straight on, especially something from APR
