After the loss of my factory lower front spoiler lip to an obnoxiously big curb in a Fire House Subs parking lot, I bought a plastic do luck replacement on ebay. The kit has the bolt hardware, but the plastic piece doesn't have the bolt holes; only thick hard points where I imagine the attachment point should be. I assume I'm going to have to drill holes in this thing; will I be able to drill holes in it as I attach it to the bumper (starting from the center I guess) or should I pre-drill after marking it from a test placement. Anyone have pointers from doing this?

 

I purchased a urethane replacement on ebay a while back. If i remember i drilled two pilot holes, mounted it, then proceeded to drill the other holes with the lip in place. Its probably going to be your best bet to get all the screws lined up decently.

 

I literally just installed the baysonR lower lip on my VIII the night before last. I predrilled my center, kind of snugged the screw up to it (but didn't tighten it). Fit both sides where it needed to be, drilled the outer to mounting points. I then proceeded to tighten all three of those screws. Then the rest I drilled and screwed. I did use the factory screws from the factory lip though, I figured they worked for it, they should work for the new one as well.
