For perspective on what 1400hp and 11,000 RPM looks like in the USA.... Oh and done about a decade ago without unobtainium and claims of F1 side work... And backed up on numerous tracks.
Also, I don't get the issue with proving it here? The Shootout in the Evo world is about the equavilence of the WTAC in Australia to time attack and numerous US companies go there every year.

How many US teams shipped US based cars to WTAC last year? Not attended the event, shipped US based cars to compete?
I'm not defending this company, but the cost to ship a car to the US for an event that even if they were to somehow win deterministically probably won't move the needle much for them in terms of sales in the US. Add in that this is a dead drag platform in the US....I can't see how this would make any kind of business sense.
Buschur and Magnus were offering up money to bring them over and prove they were the best...
Hopefully more than the couple of hundred dollar bills they floated in that "bring ET to the shootout" pic from the shoot out some years ago . All jokes aside, you have to ship the car (with a hefty insurance rider), fly out a driver, maybe a few techs, tools, spares etc. put them up in hotels, food etc. etc. Your talking 15-20 thousand dollars as a start. I don't know what was offered behind the scenes but I find it hard to believe it was close enough to that figure to make it worth their while.
Now this is 2007 and you do like HKS did and bring the car to several events to drum up business on a (then) 3/4 year old platform with a successor announced and on the way (the X) then fine. But in 2016, dead platform with no successor XI on the horizon I can't see what you get out of it business wise. You guys gotta let the shoot out idea die man seriously lol.

You are comparing apples to oranges just by looking at the chassis work...
And how come this record holds for over a decade now??
in the EVO world I only see STMs drag EVO with 8.0...
And almost a decade ago AMS drag evo with 1180whp and best time was low 8s...same power ET claim during their runs...

Lol
Really???
That was kind of the point. If you want to have "The fastest Evo", shut the **** up and be the fastest. Who cares how you get there? Who cares if it's 86psi or 1500lbs? It's the fastest. End O'story.
Let me make this clear though...beyond simple entertainment value...I give exactly zero ****s about any of this.
