They make a billet aluminum version but they want a ridiculous price of $306.50 for it.

Thanks for the replies again guys.

Now theres the question is, which version of the knob?...

theres two Version 1 and Version 2.

The Version one is their original design, where the version 2 is more of a Ralliart style knob.

Im assuming the V2 has a more natural feel to it?

Where have you seen the aluminum version?

I have a billet alum ball on mine now. It fits the hand nicely, and is weighted. BUT...it's very temperature sensitive. I'm on the hunt for a stock knob to see how it feels since this was on the car when I bought it.

Any pics of your billet one?

Stock one as in the leather one?
The alloy MR one gets hit also.
I didn't like the feel of the stitching on the knob for the stock base model.

Has anyone had experience of the V2 AMS Delrin knob?

It's the same height and width and similar weight. The only difference is the shape, it's a more conventional style, very similar to the Ralliart ones but taller:

I'm just thinking since it is of conventional styling, it may be quicker to get used to and offer a more natural shift feel for street use, rather than their other/original knob that is targeted for racing.

I can get pics tomorrow in the daylight. It's just a simple round ball.

I have a Team Voodoo countersunk knob. Had one on my S2k and loved it. So I got one for the MR. Had to trim the lockout ring a little, but otherwise, no complaints. I got the 6-speed pattern also. http://www.ricks2k.com/products/shiftknob.php

They can be found elsewhere also.

I tried posting from my phone last night, but it kept uploading a pic of an o2 housing that's not even on my phone. I don't know what the hell was going on. Anyway, here it is.

I have the V1 AMS knob and its been great for years, i live in south tx and it never gets hot to where i cant touch it. I like the longer shift knob because to me it seems less force is needed to shift and it just feels better.
