Question Crankcase evacuation

Wondering has anyone used an electric Vacuum Pump in addition to an oil catch can. Is it overkill ,counter productive or beneficial. I have done some research and have conflicting opinions. Just wondering what the Evo racing/street weapons community with big turbos have experienced.

I did ALOT of research on the crankcase pressure evac...and ended up coming to the conclusion that only the "full-race" cars use motorized pumps to evac the pressure. As far as street beasts go i didnt find any reason why it was necessary. I ended up going the the Fathouse Fab catchcan setup with 2 -10 AN lines going to the side of my VC. And its working really well for me.

How about some pics. I have been looking at my car set up. I need to chase my horses. They are routed kind of odd.

By the way, thank you guys! I do need to do something fast. My engine compartment is a mess. particularly by the dip stick. I hope it's not a sing of bad rings.

Okay this is what the can looks like installed. I believe these are the first pics of the STM sealed catch can online yet. I tried to take the best shots but thats the best i could do. As you can see the 2 ports that come off the top of the can goes to intake manifold with a check valve and the other is going to the intake pipe. I was having oil leaking from the bottom of the car (Dont exactly know where) i was having smoke coming out from my exhaust on really cold days. I did some digging and came to buy this can even though its a bit expensive for what i would spend on a catch can but after buying it, I think its the best decision. The oil leaks and smoking stopped after i installed this can.
