I agree completely but at the time they were to far out of my budget. If I have a problem beyond the small intermittent issues that I have with only the oil pressure gauge then I will upgrade.Originally Posted by Turndown

All of my buddies have subarus and multiple models of prosports, and each has had to replace something with them whether it be the sending unit three times or the gauge lighting not performing like it should.
When the time had come to get myself gauges I went AEM and did not look back.

Mounting the sender unit directly to the filter housing is never a good idea the vibration from the motor will cause it to kill it over and over again , invest in a remote sending unitOriginally Posted by Lombardi23
Anyone else having issues with prosport gauges? Im using one for a Oil pressure gauge, and the sender has given out 2 times on me, previous owner mentioned it happened to him aswell. Any good suggestions for a better company?

True. I always buy a length of SS house and mount my sending unit in the engine bay, somewhere. My current one is mounted near the ABS unit, away from heat and vibration. Originally Posted by Rossi_24

Hopefully enough threads will pop up that a search will show why.

I have always used autometer gauges in my dsms and never had a complaint. My evo already had the prosport gauges when I got it and so far all is well.

This and some of them are 9 years old at this point in time. The only non Autometer gauge I have is my AEM wideband. The really nice thing about Autometer is if you need a part you can get them from most reasonable local chains. Some of the other guages you have to order the parts online and get them shipped which is also a hassle.Originally Posted by kaj

I've got two Prosport gauges, a 45psi boost gauge and a oil pressure gauge. I've got an issue with both of them. The oil pressure gauge works fine but is designed badly. It comes with two low oil pressure warnings, a flashing display and a warning buzzer. The flashing back light is always on but the buzzer can be turned off and on. The problem is that if you want both warning systems on, like I do, and you have the ignition on, like sitting in the car with the accessories on listening to the radio, the buzzer reads that as low oil pressure and sets the alarm off. The only way to stop this is to turn the ignition back off, hold the button down on the front of the gauge, whist turning the ignition back on, and then reverse all this to turn the alarm back on, is just a pain really.
The problem with the boost gauge is that it isn't accurate. I was using evoscan to log my car when it was being tuned and the max boost showing on evoscan (with a 4 bar boost sensor) was 33psi, the Prosport gauge showed 36psi. It's always the same amount off so I can work with it but it would be good if it was accurate.

I have the prosport boost gauge on the car for a good 6 years. Never gone bad yet and works fine.
