A/C blow all the time?

Just wondering if it is normal for the evo to have air coming out of the vents at all times, even when the dial is set to "off?" Mine blows air just slightly less than the 1 setting when it is set to off.

Is this normal? the A/C button light is not on during it, is it just venting air around the cabin?

Yes, that is normal. It's just air venting in from the outside. (I don't think it's the A/C.)

Yeah, the heat from the engine blows through the vents, you have to close them if it gets too hot.

That almost assuredly means the recirculation button is turned off although there is a small possibility the blend doors are out of adjustment. When it's off the outside air comes into the car and blows out whatever vents the vent switch is set to. It also is affected by the setting of the temp control. Check the owners manual for detailed info on how it all works.

Make sure on your temp setting you dont have it turned counterclockwise too the max, youll feel it click close to the bottom, this is the max AC control and will always turn on the AC on when you just want the fan..

Let the temp control set before that little click ...

Just in case you didnt know........

if you dont want air comming through turn the recirculation button ON. If you have the position of the blow set at windshield defrost or the combo defrost+feet it wont let u turn recirc on. Just set it to face or feet or the combo and set tuen the recirc on, if you set the temp all the way to the left on "max" it will auto turn on the recirc. The ac is not on is the air from outside being pushed through. If you dont wanna turn the heater on but still want heat, turn recirc off and set the temp to hot and visa versa.

a/c all the time?

even if you have the fan off, and you switch the air to the two notches with front window defrost, the a/c will turn on without the a/c light coming on.
