I had posted this on another forum as well but I have this issue where the foam inside my Evo 6 fuel tank has begun to break down and is blocking the pickup filters, causing lots of fuel supply issues,


it seems this was not installed like this from the factory as I keep getting lots of blank looks when I tell people ? has anyone seen this before ?
Car is a Evo 6 TME RS imported from japan 7 years ago,

Could that just be from a foam filter used at the pump?

Have you addressed this w/the guys on the Lancer Register (MLR) ?

 

Sorry just add these foam bricks are right throughout the tank, a combination of orange and green foam

 

EvO 9 tank is all steel. Not sure why the foam is in there. Post up on MLR mate
