Rexpeed parts review

I bought some parts from rexpeed back in October 2015. Ordered a gurney flap and hood struts for my evo 9. Garbage. The passenger side hood strut started leaking at the end of December. Just yesterday the double sided tape gave up on the gurney flap and flew off. The part that gets me, the double sided tape that rexpeed applies to the gurney flap, gave up and not the sticky side that I apply to the wing. Car doesn't get driven in the cold, so that shouldn't be a reason to have weak seals or ****ty adhesion. Maybe others haven't had this issue, but 2 of the 3 parts I bought from them haven't held up very well. Now I'm worried of my convex blue tint side mirrors are going to fall off soon. Share if you've had good/bad experience with rexpeed parts.

Hi. Sorry to hear what happened to you! I have the side skirts, and JDM IX rear bumper extensions. Ive had these parts on for at least 4-5 years, with no issues. But, these parts I mentioned not only use 2-faced foam tape, but screws, so they couldn't just fly off, like your parts unfortunately did...My CF side skirts are VERY thin. I worry about them always. Have you contacted Derek, the Owner? I hope things work out for you...

Had their gurney flap on for 4 years now with no issues. Prior to install I really cleaned up the back of my wing with rubbing alcohol. I later replaced that tape with 3M double sided tape because I trust it more.

Also just installed their carbon fiber side skirt extensions with no issues as of yet. Hope they send you some replacement parts soon.

I have their front lip, antenna and side skirt extensions. Lip is tough.. hit a lot of crap with it being low and it still looks alright. I was disappointed in the side skirt extensions as they were faded right out of the box. They almost have a dusty look to them and the weave in some spots is pretty ****ty. I put them on in the winter and didn't notice till I had my car out the next spring in the sun to see.

That sucks to hear about your issues. I had always thought they were the high quality place to go for cf items.

Update, Derek is shipping out a new gurney flap and another set of good struts. He's been very helpful! Hood struts are on a back order.
