Being from Houston I hadn't thought about that. I guess down here it doesn't matter what you put in.

I had water in my intercooler resivoir and I pumped it out in November to put washer fluid in it. We had a few days here in Dallas that went down into the teens, so I just did not want to risk it. To people up north temps in the teens do not sound all that bad, but for us southerners that is just outright friggen cold!!

Funny you should mention that. The idea hit me the other day and I just did this last night. Enjoy: http://www.norcalevo.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=755

Jamie. Thats a good write up. But with your set-up you can no longer use the pump to wet the rear windshield, correct?

To retain use of all pumps, you should be able to merely run new hoses down the side of the car, and splice in to the water line back near the rear washer bottle....right?

SC~

My set up does not allow you to spray the rear window. If you T a line, you'll end up spraying either the windshield or the back when you're I/C sprayer activates. You would need three pumps (or more complex engineering) in the rear to isolate them all. I'm after the better, quicker, cheaper approach. Besides, in my 12 years of owning DSMs with rear wipers, the only time I ever used the sprayer was to quickly remove frost--I don't have that problem anymore

EvolvedDSM, thanks for the write up. What a coincidence that you were already working on that one. I would still like to retain the rear wiper sprayer, so I am going to look into somehow routing hoses before the pump motors. I will have to figure out a way to keep the intercooler sprayer pump, but ditch the reservoir. I just bought the shop manual on eBay, so that should help when it arrives.
