Im having an issue getting my car to fire. I am using 300m coils with a dynatek arc 2 cdi box. On stock coils I can get the car to fire. But as soon as I install the ignition system nothing. Ive checked the fuse, wiring, and verified that there is voltage to the box and still nothing. This is the first time ive dealt with an aftermarket ignition system so any help is appreciated.

 

if it runs fine on the normal setup then there are only 2 possibilities, 1. the install is faulty, or 2. the product is faulty. If you have verified that the install is correct then you should contact tech support for the product. They will probably have some troubleshooting procedures you can follow to try and further isolate the problem.

 

It begs the next question, why install one when the stock system is proven.

is this relevant to OP's problem? its not like there aren't kits out there that use Dynatek CDI boxes on evo's wasted spark setup. Seems like you guys are giving OP grief for no reason.

 

I have never heard anyone say that they didn't gain anything from upgrading their ignition system, or that they regret doing it.

Would you be able to post the installation instructions? Did you get just the CDI or did it come with coils also?
