Extended Warranty ?'s

Thanks in advance for your input...

I just got back from the stealership to cancel my extended warranty. I've had several friends say that they sent them a check for the refund personally. Well, my dealership said the refund would be sent to the Bank that owns my title. Does anyone know how I should go about getting the refund myself? I sure would like to pocket the $995...

Again, any suggestions/past experiences would be helpful and appreciated!!!

If you owe on the car they send it to the lien holder because they are the first one paid, the same as if the insurance company had to pay out. If you don't owe anything they send it to you. If you owe and they send it to you they oopsied.

Yes, I canceled last week and the bank gets the refund and applies it to the principle balance. Either way, not bad. I would have spent it anyway.

Well, a few people on www.dcevoclub.com appeared to have the amount of the extended warranty refunded to them...I've got questions to them asking how they did it; my dealership said they would only send the refund to my bank...I haven't heard of any 'disclosure'...my stealership didn't stick me with something like that...

I went to my dealership and filled out the sheet of paper to receive the refund on my extended warranty. The lady asked me if I still owed on my car. I said yes so she told me that the refund would go toward my current balance on my vehicle. But that is only if your car is financed by MMCA. If for instance you got a loan from a bank and then bought the car then you would be able to receive the refund yourself and not the bank. She told me that it would take about 4-6 weeks for me to see the change on my balance sheet. But she said they dont have a whole lot of refunds that are made except for people that mod out their car a lot so it would probably be 4 weeks. So I just have to wait for mine now. IF I get any other updates I will let you guys know.

BTW: If anyone cares to know my refund is going to be $1300 minus a $25 cancellation fee. I noticed that it says on a sheet of paper that cancellation fees are different for different states.

Its too late now but here is what I did.........I cut a separate $1300 check for the warranty so I could get the refund. I wasnt sure if I was going to do a lot of mods so I wanted to give myself a way out.
