I've always enjoyed repairing and maintaining any vehicle I've owned. When looking over a potential purchase one of the first places I look is under the hood and I'm looking for access.

When it comes to access the RS looks very Subaru.

In 1992 I joined the Talon Digest. You sent in an email question and if the moderator didn't delete it, it appeared the next day. The soonest I could expect an answer or at least a reply was the following day or 48 hours.

This slow moving arrangement discovered a flaw in the AWD system that required a recall. We organized it and saw the recall completed. This took about a year and a half - maybe longer. NHTSA named us the distinguished experts. In other words, if you had a question concerning this recall, we were the ones who knew. They usually named some car company or investigating agency. Mitsubishi sent us a letter saying they were no longer our friends. We didn't know they were before. Compare this to the recent subframe recall that came out of the blue.

So, when it comes to serving the community back when, I think we did a reasonable job.

I prefer a forum setting myself. Seems to be researched, thought out answers rather than"well I had a friend that did X so X is obviously what you should do"

I do both, but for research, forums are better. For selling things, it seems like facebook and the like are better.
