How much hp does an EVO with some mods normally make. Because I know this kid, he just bought an EVO and he wants to get a turbo kit that pushes 500+whp. I'm not an idiot but I know nothing about EVOs. I know that you need more then just that kit to make that much. So I am trying to help him out, by finding out some info for him. Do you guys have drive train problems when trying to achieve that much power. Or do you find it unneccesary to have your car that powerful for a daily driver? Other then the kit what do you need?

Anyways, thanks for the help.

you are a great friend for helping your buddy like that. the truth is that you will need a lot more mods than just the turbo kit itself. you will need fuel, air, cooling etc...

please use the search function on this site and you will find great advice from great tuners such as Buschur, AMS, Vishnu etc...

RnR already got into the tens with a blistering 10.6. AMS should be even better, they made 52 more AWHP (total 551) and should hit low low tens, maybe possibly even break into the 9's. And yes, you need 400 WHP to get into the 11s.

The stock clutch is going to need replacement with that much power, I'm not sure what is included in the kit but i'm thinking he's going to need fuel pump, injectors, gauges, and a hell of a lot of maintenance. Plus he would probably want exhaust, intake, and other plumbing upgraded to optimize the bigger turbo. Let's just say if he isn't loaded, I would slow up the modding process just a little bit.

George at boost solutions will build you a complete 600 to 700 whp Street evo for the right price. I will give you a hint it will cost about the same as the car, to mod everything so it's balanced.

yes I agree, it will cost a bomb so you might have to find a balance between price and power. I dont even know why some people want that much power unless you use the car for racing.
