Anyone have collector car insurance?

Just wondering if anyone with a highly modified weekend car has collector car or "agreed value" insurance? I suspect that my Evo's regular insurance would probably cover less than half of the car's actual value, and am willing to pay a bit more for insurance for peace of mind. Anyway, please post up if you have a special insurance policy for your Evo.

Thanks!

I have a set value policy on my evo through http://americancollectors.com/

Given them a call and see if they can craft a policy that meets your needs.

I checked into collector car insurance some time ago also for my Evo IX, and they (cant remember which I was talking to) said they would not insure something as a collector car until it was a minimum 20 years old... although typical collector car or historical status comes at 25 years.

Good luck!

I went this route looking to lower my insurance costs and was told they would cover my EVO IX. Basically $1000 a year it's full coverage with $500 deductible and you can't drive the car more than 2500 miles. FYI, payment has to be up front. If I recall they valued my EVO at $29k. It can be done, I would like to look into the above insurance company and see what custom ins they offer.

My 05 EVO is insured by Hagerty. I chose $23k for $500 a year. Very good for So Cal.
