My QM 8 leg made all sorts of noises, talk about getting funny looks at gas stations and red lights. Without a video posted this is a lost cause though

did you just hear the noise when the car is stationary and press the clutch in? Or the noise appear when you are driving in gear ?

About the only time it did not make noise was during acceleration. In gear decel made a similiar noise to the one in your video just louder. The QM always sounded like something was broken.

i took it to the dealer to install it for me, I'm thinking going back to them after the new year holiday and ask them if this is normal and why is it making the scraping noise.

If I were you I'd be pissed. That isn't a normal sound it sounds like you said the clutch is dragging. It sounds like they didn't re adjust the clutch height in the petal or they reused a plate spacer that was warped or something. It is like the resurfaced the flywheel but didn't surface the other plates or something and its grinding on the clutch pads.

so what should I tell them when I bring it back to them? I don't think they'll drop the transmission down to check it. Not sure if they adjust the petal but all gear shifted just fine, just sometimes hard to get into reverse but if I go back to natural then put reverse again then it's fine.

when I asked the dealer that installed the clutch for me, and they said it's the plate rattling in the clutch.

This sounds like the normal noise associated with having a twin disc. You were in gear allowing the engine to slow the car down, in gear decel my QM always made a lot of chatter. My QM was loud, but that is the name of the game. Driving an Evo with a twin disc will at first make you paranoid but you will get used to the noises they make and they will become normal.
But if the dealer is close to you it certainly would not hurt to just stop by and have them double check the adjustment. If it will give you peace of mind then the trip will be well worth it.

If you have to go into first gear to put it in reverse, that means synchros aren't lining up which means petal needs adjustment.

LOL just shows they are stupid, twin discs only chatter when compressed and if it is an Exedy its sprung it doesn't chatter. That noise isn't chatter.

I have 2 different twin disc setups, and now a tripple and my car never sounded like that after any of the installs. Clutch is dragging.

I remember when I first started the break in on my qm twin it didn't make a noise. 700 miles after install it started the unusual(normal) noise everyone else hears with this clutch. Not families with the clutch you installed.
