Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the ACD Pump oil. I know on the cap it say ATF SP III. My problem is the nearest mitsu dealer is about 2.5 Hrs away from where i live. my question is i know Hyundai and mitsu intermingled at one point and Hyundai does have a ATF SP III but the part numbers are different. would that work for my ACD pump? i put Valvoline ATF +4 or 4+ in there but i called a shop that works on evos and they told me that they always use OEM for stuff like that. what are you guys thoughts on this? thanks ans sorry if I'm reviving an old topic. any help is greatly appreciate it.

 

ATF SP III Equivalent should be fine!

 

Hyundai SPIII is the same stuff, it is provided to them for the Mitsubishi transmissions they used to use in the 00's.
But yeah, for this application any transmission fluid is "OK", though I would be sticking more to a Dexron variant than a Type 4 variant given the option. Realistically, the ACD hydraulic fluid is the least particular when it comes to using other fluids.
