Evo 8 ets intercooler on evo 9

Evo 8 ets intercooler on evo 9
So I got a ets intercooler but on the ets website theirs one for the 8 and one for the 9....the question is does it matter cause it looks like I got the 8 one and mine is a 9 does it bolt right up and i need to cut bumper?
It'll work depending on how thick it is. I had a 3.5" evo 8 intercooler on my 9 at one point and it fit. Licp didn't mate up quite right, but that's just from not using brand matching parts. You'll just have a little bit of core covered by the bumper.
