Anyone has installed a Honda Group 51 battery

I've found some people have used the battery with no problem but i havent found too much information on installing it or what tray to use when using it. if anyone has more information or is using it feel free to post the pictures

this battery came stock in my new 17 Accord 2.4 manual. I was impressed how small it is...

But, into the second week of ownership the battery dies after playing car audio for an hour... apparently it doesn't have much reserve power. It's working after trickle charging it.

I may go size up to their 6 cy battery group 24F...

Yes, I've done both the Honda and Miata. For the Honda I just trimmed the stock battery tray, made an cross brace to put under the battery to prevent forward back movement and then used an eBay Honda tie down with washers. It worked great but I realized the Miata battery from Autozone is even better. You can use a short route uicp with the Miata battery in the standard position slid all the way to the drivers side and use the OE tie down.

hey silver evo thnaks for the reply i believe the miata battery has lower CCA did u ever try it inn the winter i live in ny we just had close to 20 degrees so thats a main issue

No unfortunately or fortunately, I am in SoCal so no real cold weather. I did the Honda batt for the same reason you are which is closer to stick cca. The Miata here has not given me any probs and if I have issues, i just take it back to Autozone and get a new one.
