the fact he has 2 spare motors would worry me, sounds like its been beat on to me. for you first one i would looking for something as close to stock as you can so you can learn how everything works then work your way up at your own pace rather than buying something this molested. just my 2 cents though.

That does worry me. I know this is Evo 8 but would you rather have your first Evo an 10. like this one?

the lack of power for the mods he has is odd, but i went with an 8 because i got a stupid good deal on it and i like that body style more. and i dont know much about the Xs but maybe someone else will chim about that 10 but i would stay away for that 8 if i was you.

He dropped the price down to 15k and 17k with both spare motors. He apparently has a story behind reason for the motors and is going to send it over.

I can make up any story you would like to hear.
If he has paperwork to back it up, then Maybe

I agree, I asked for paperwork to prove all the main parts like motor, trans, transfer case, clutch, etc was done.

What did you mean on the price buying parts?

he was talking about the amount of stuff you get from him for the price cut, decent longblocks go for like 3-5k by themselves and he has 3 plus the if the car is a roller you can get 5-8k so someone wanting to part this thing out to make money COULD but would be a royal pain in the ***.

So this would be a better option at 15k?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess "bait car".

Edit: if you Google the VIN, it's used for ads in Missouri, Georgia, Alabama, Massachusetts, and more.

Ah I gotcha. You also can't call them unless you do their bs credit approval which i dont need. Moving on from that one.....

Also if anyone is reading this and has a close to stock evo around missouri lol

I think I would pick the 8 over the 10. Honestly I love modding cars and had a big turbo 1.8t making 450rwhp. I think the 8 would save me alot of money if I can verify the mods are done correctly and the parts are in the car that he says.

as hard as it is just be patient, works more times that not. i was waiting on a 9 but found an 8 that had 83k miles stock for 13.5k clean title. they are out there you just have to look for them or be willing to travel.

Definitely a bait car. Careful with these ads.
