**** You Kaminari!!

Well,

My car went to SEMA IAS over the weekend. While lining up my sponsors for the show, I went to Kaminari and approached them regarding their new cf hood. To make a long story short, I put my order in over 2 months ago, when the hood was first released. Keep in mind that they knew that this hood was specifically for SEMA IAS, which equal exposure for them if I am not mistaken..

So, here the story goes. "Your hood will be done in 3-5 days" After 5 days, I called them, and the new turnaround was 5-7 days, even after the first five days. So I gave them a month to breath, and called them back 2 weeks ago to find out the status.
"Well, we are still in production of your unit"

-> It takes these ****ing idiots 6 weeks to make a carbon/glass hood? Cummon, like they think I believe their BS.

So, I tell them they have exactly 2 weeks to finish the hood for
SEMA, which means they probably could have made 2 dozen hoods in the time it took them to make just one. CLOWNS!!!

Well, 3 days before SEMA, they promised me the hood for sure on Wednesday, the night of drive in. Well, wednesday comes, and here is ther new excuse:
Well, we just got it out of production (2 months to make a ****ing hood?, Again -> CLOWNS!!) and it appears to have some pin-sized holes all over the hood, so we can not fix it, let alone clear coat it, over even put decals on it to cover the blems. Ray told me, in other words, your ****ed.

A.)They had no appolgies for me.
B.)They lost their chance to have their hood shown at SEMA IAS which equals good exposure
C.)The attitude of Kaminari was "So what the ****, we could care less"

Well Kaminari, I got some love for you...

First of all, your customer service sucks. You passion for pleasing your consumers is non-existent. Your excuses over the last 2 months clearly define that the Kaminari's basic business principals are not worthy of your name and reputation.

I not only gave RAY at Kaminari the opportunity to make this up to me, as they know that is the right thing to do, I have waited almost 5 days now for a return call from RAY. Well, do you think I will get it, probably not.

So to Pete, Ray, and all you half-hearted folks at Kaminari, I hope your sales start to reflect that of your business practices.

Tell me when you guys go out of business you STUPID ****S!!!!!!

Nastea, sorry about the ranting. I never paid them luckily, luckily, luckily, luckily.

Funny thing is, everyone at SEMA insists to tell me about the very poor quality of Kaminari CF. I guess that is the reason why they wrap their edges, to cover their poor edge-wrapping skills.

I almost bought a kaminari kit for my old 99 accord coupe. Looked great in the pictures on their. Till I saw one in real life , up close. What a piece of junk. The kit was flimsy, loose fitting and looked cheap.

It's the company attitude. I know vendors who have tried to do business with them.

They screen the vendors by telling them "that's handled by Jerry". Then they take bogus messages for Jerry, but he doesn't exist. So obviously they don't have a lot of resources to draw from, which is probably why they deliver late.

It doesn't surprise me they treat their customers the same way. Just try getting past reception!

OK, got an update. This **** gets funny.. Got a call today from the folks at Kaminari.. They acted like nothing happened. So here's the deal...

OK, your hood is done. We can sell it to you for $30 cheaper then before....

That's all. F-them and their great service!!

Dont get me wrong, but if these guys care about their image or shady customer service, they would have just handed this hood over to me based on all their previous f-ups..

My kaminari kit is fine...best fitting kit ive owned. A lot of regular lancer owners have the kit.
Edit: Their Customer Service DOES suck tho....I had the impression I was talking to a walk in customer, not an employee.

FWIW, we ahve been selling Kaminari products for a LONG time now -going back to the early early 90's...everything they made that we have ever received fit well, and I have never been given teh runaround by them,

Perhaps - and this is going out on a limb, they made an internal decision not to deal with you, and just did not have a good way to tell you? Not sure - just a guess (being that I know how this business works like the back of my hand).

Adam,

The limb broke on that assumption . As I stated in my above post, Kaminari called me and told me it was ready. Again, they offered to me and additional discount of $30-$40 dollars!

well, chalk it up to experience I guess. Who knows, maybe they had a bad day, maybe they forgot your arrangement, maybe it was just miscommunication.
