Evo VII @ the drapstrip (video)

This Evo looks like the same Evo7 that been floating around on the net with the plates "202".

Here is a video of it running on the 1/4mile down in Moroso Park, FL on August 10th.

Great numbers for what looks to be a stock Evo7!

Opps, I put up the wrong link.

http://www.makuragi.s5.com/videos/id...0VII%20run.wmv

It ran 13.7@100mph!

I'm sure low 13's can be accomplish with a better 60ft time.

It may not be the same car after all...

13.7? I would expect better than that.

Maybe it was just a bad driver...

The WRX will run 13.7's all day long with only a $20 MBC! So much for such a better base platform! And the GDB is in high 12 territory...STOCK!

SportCompactCar hammerd out a 13.3 or somthing like that. They said that the clutch destroys itself every launch and it needs better pedal feedback. Anywho...

Yeah because my expectations for quicker 1/4 times constitute the car for being a POS..

My point is that I have seen the car advertised for 0-60mph acceleration times of 4.5 seconds which generally means the car should be running near, if not at, a 13 second 1/4 mile.

Yeah, but I wonder what the EVO can do with the same $20 MBC. The turbo size is the same as DSM's that run low 12's. I think an EVO running 1.5 bar boost would do well.

Ya right... i saw WRX ran high 14s all day long on the strip..
I was very disappointed..
(and I bet you gonna say it's the DRIVER right????)

Ya.. put that driver that ran 13.7 on a STOCK EVO7, he will
run 12.7s...

The fact is that i've seen videos that EVO7 running low 13s to
high 12's STOCK (on best motoring, again)... Even edged out
near 100k NSX S-Zero (though I think given more distance,
NSX will pass EVO)

Here's a image I post LONG ago..

See where WRXs are??? STI or STI RA whatever... they fill the
last places of the pack.. funny.. they usually are last 1/4 miles
or track..
(It's ok.. you can blame on the drivers.. )
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH

I wanna know how many miles on the car and what's the 60ft time. Better be 1.7-1.85

I ran a wrx on the track and i've been draggin my old mustand since i've got my licence.

What i mean is a mellow launch i was getting 14.7@90mph and a high rpm dump "with tire spin" with momentum i ran a 13.9@96mph. I know how to drag but luckily i had a DSM guy show me the trick on launching the AWD cars. People think it's easy but it's actually pretty tricky. It's a skill we all need to get a hang of .
