(and I bet you gonna say it's the DRIVER right????)

Yes, it still the driver!
If he didn't achieved 1.8X to 1.9X 60ft on the 1/4mile for a stock WRX, then its defiantly the driver. This is what a AWD (either EVO7 Or WRX) can run in stock form.
Now wipe your nose!

I know how to drag but luckily i had a DSM guy show me the trick on launching the AWD cars. People think it's easy but it's actually pretty tricky. It's a skill we all need to get a hang of
Very true!

Plus it didn't look like he pushed it very hard.

there is no really trick you have to do to get the AWD to launch faster. just not dump the the clutch at like 7000 rpms. just dump it at around 3-4k, atleast thats with a NON-turbo AWD, but i dont think there is a difference as long as you got full boost and no wheel spin you'll be good to go

Sorry that doesnt' work. It's not a high torque mustang with slicks. Have you dragged a turbo awd car? Turbo lag at 3k or less for wrx's. Definitly at 4 grand the car will bog down. I've learned 2 ways to launch it.

1. hold at 5 grand. Floor it and then release the clutch. Dump it if you want more tire spin.

2. Static dump while holding at 6 grand. When you release the clutch the rpm drops and then holds at 4500 rpms or so.

I personally like the momentum of the gas while depressing the clutch. THis method work better for me.

Actually i can launch it at 3-4 grand just gentally slip the clutch so the engine won't bog and roast my clutch with my 2.2 60 ft time
