If he didn't achieved 1.8X to 1.9X 60ft on the 1/4mile for a stock WRX, then its defiantly the driver. This is what a AWD (either EVO7 Or WRX) can run in stock form.

I know how to drag but luckily i had a DSM guy show me the trick on launching the AWD cars. People think it's easy but it's actually pretty tricky. It's a skill we all need to get a hang of

just dump it at around 3-4k
1. hold at 5 grand. Floor it and then release the clutch. Dump it if you want more tire spin.
2. Static dump while holding at 6 grand. When you release the clutch the rpm drops and then holds at 4500 rpms or so.
I personally like the momentum of the gas while depressing the clutch. THis method work better for me.
Actually i can launch it at 3-4 grand just gentally slip the clutch so the engine won't bog and roast my clutch with my 2.2 60 ft time
