Evo GTA

I have seen that a lot of you guys are *****ing about the Auto Evo V11. Well having driven one in the UK for the last few months I can tell you its a great car ! It uses a transmison similar to the Porcshe Tiptronic and while ultimatly I still prefer the stick shift if I did a lot of city driving the GTA would be my choice. Midrange perfomance is brilliant overtaking between 80 to 120mph feels
quicker than the M/T version. We have also run the GTA up to
an indicated 162 mph !

I do not think a GTA will be produced in LHD form which is a shame because I am sure that some US drivers would prefer this
option.

For your info their is also now a new model 4x4 Evo powered Sportswagon called the Airtrek which has just been released and this uses the GTA transmision as too.

With a good torque converter that allows for higher stall speed the auto can be a great choice for the average driver seeking an easy to drive sports car; the truth however is that these kind of buyers(for the most part) are already covered by cars such as the 3series/c-class/audi a4 and a6.

IMO; lets keep the Evo for the true enthusiest.

T1RBO, I have no doubts that you drove the car but if Evolution Imports was able to bring the Evo VII LHD, then I am pretty sure will do the same! No offense bro, though you have driven the Evo VII in the UK, you must know just as much as we do when it comes to the US Lancer Evolution. So, I strongly doubt that the Evolution would come without a manual transmission. Plus, no point in bringing up the VII, now that the Las vegas Auto Show officially announced the VII's release here in the US around the first quarter next year, and even presented the US Lancer Evolution VIII! Check out the picks if you haven't already. Anyways, thanks for the info. bro!
