Like many people who remove the wheel speed sensors. I managed to break the two front wheel speed sensors that are pressed into the front knuckle housing on the Evo 8. I replaced them with some rock auto sensors at a fraction of the cost of the OEM sensors. These sensors are listed for both the lancer and the lancer evolution. However upon driving and braking the ABS module modulates the braking and then sets various ABS codes (21, 23, 71, 11, 12).

Curious to see if anyone has replaced Evo wheel speed sensors with aftermarket or lancer sensors with success?
