Wanted - Evo for Testing

We are looking for a volunteer to lend their Evo 8 to testing of a new engine management system. You must be willing to lend us your car for 1 - 2 weeks whilst your car is tuned with the product. The tuning will take place in Portland, OR, so you must be able to get the car there and back.

What's in it for you? You will drive home with the new system in your car, making more power. And what's better is you get to keep it for free!

If your car is available and you can get it to Portland then call us for more information on (310) 313-0088.

This is for product development, and strictly a one-time event that needs to be performed in Protland, OR. It doesn't matter if your Evo is stock or modified. The car will do a few dyno runs. As you know, there are no guarantees with dyno runs, but our dyno technicians are very experienced and do not break cars. Expect to see a couple of hundred miles on the car from dyno time.

quick question..... you say car is needed in portland, your bio says your in LA. please explain.

Another question, how the hell do you do a couple of hundred miles on a dyno?

Last question and most importantly,
what company is this for?

Is this going to be a piggyback , standalone, or flash type system?

Depending on when you need it I could have my car in Portland.

The product manufacturer is in Oregon. They are working hand in hand with Brainstorm.

To answer some questions, Error is correct. We are located in LA and we are developing a product in conjunction with a company in Portland. That is why the car needs to go up there. We would like to do this as soon as possible. This is for a piggy-back solution. as for the estimate of a couple of hundred miles on the dyno, this is probably over the top, but I don't want people to think that only one dyno run is required. We would probably do 20 - 30 dyno pulls and some driving on the streets to ensure reliability - nothing crazy tho. If you are seriously interested then please give us a call at the shop.

I would be interested if it was for something bigger like a turbo kit or engine internals. for engine managment which cost $300 to $1000 thats alot to give. EVOs are expinsive and if they brake they are pain in the butt to fix.

What happens if the new system grenades the motor, or tranny, etc, are you willing to take full responsibility for the replacment of the motor or other parts? If so I might have to take a vacation.

As with any dyno work, we take no responsibility for the Engine, tranny, etc. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who would offer you such a guarantee. Having said that, if your car has been broken in ok and doesn't have any fuelling issues or mods that are not installed correctly then it won't explode on the dyno, so you don't need to worry. If you change your mind, give us a call...
