What is this for??

I dropped a wrench around the battery area and underneath the battery tray I accidently moved this switch/clutch type of thingy. Anyone know what this is used for? You can move it left and right and it clicks. It looks like it connects with the clutch cable or something.

Thanks! So what happens if I either move it left or right and just leave it? Cause I am not sure if I left it at the same spot after I accidently moved it.

Do you still have the shift cables attached? If so, that is no problem. It wont affect anyting
