I pay $680 every 6 months. 2 car policy, no tickets or accidents with GIECO. I'm 27, married and carry very high liability limits with low deductibles.
USAA rates the car higher, I used to be with them, but they wanted $1000 every 6 months. Shopping around is the best bet.

Massachusetts is the worst place for insurance because only certain company can offer insurance here so they have a monopoly. Still your insurance will change with your age, location in the state and your driving record. I’ am paying around 1800.00 a year. I hate Arbella had so many problems with them, shop around don’t listen to that crap that everyone has the same price they don’t and see about the discount they may have for being part of group (AAA), Alarm, ect,.

Damn how is everyone paying so damn little for insurance for the Evo?? I'm 22 in NYC no tickets and 2 accidents one at fault one not at fault and I'm paying $3988 a year with liberty mutual UNDER my parents policy!!!! I've taking defensive driving courses and I have Lo Jack 500 deductible. I'm frighted because one accident was in the Evo recently and it cost $6500 to repair and I renew my insurace in July... I'm ****ed big time!! What the hell is going on here?

Sickdriver, what's your step level, 22?

I agree, MA auto insurance sucks. I moved from PA where you can shop for better insurance deals (like most of the country), so I hate the system here.

Wow, I used to be bummed at how much I pay, but now I don't feel so bad. I pay $745.20 annually or $62.10 a month. That is with a mutli-car and house discount.

If you think our insurance is bad now, just wait. As more morons wreck these, the insurance will go higher. As the incidence of loss of life claims rise, insurance will blast higher.

I heard that insurance companies are lobbying congress for laws that makes HIPO cars like the EVO, STI & vette, etc harder for auto companies to sell, due to the loss of life issues. It will get harder and harder to own and insure HIPO cars when the industry trend is moving toward hyrid cars like the Prius.

I was just quoted:

22, spotless record.

Before 9/1/2004: $2412
After 9/1/2004: $1368

9/1/2004 is when I could can my current policy, and start a new one, since I'll have my experienced driver points.

I'm in New Beige, and I think insurance here is as bad as Brockton, and 2nd only to Boston and the surround area. The only person I know that pays near $4000 is my cousin. Her 1993 Paseo costs $3300/year to insure since she's 19, has a ticket, and her previous car was totaled and she was clearly at fault. I think someone I knew paid around $4000/yr for his 98 SVT Cobra, but not sure, and if so, it was due to a ticket and the fact he was 19 at the time.

I pay ~900 every 6 months for two cars. The insurance company said that will drop to about 500 for 6 months once I sell my honda. Oh yeah, I have safeco.

Question: What is USAA? I'm 22, wife is 20 and I'm planning to get a Ralliart this summer and other than searching on the web endlessly and not really having any luck finding a decent rate. Anyone have any leads phone numbers agents etc. they know give decent rates to young drivers? I see you guys with evos and low rates and to me it seems rediculous that you get that low of rate.

P.S. I'm in Washington state.
