Evo 7,8,9's.... Let's see your fire extinguisher installations

I'm looking to add a fire extinguisher mount and an extinguisher into the car somewhere incase I have a problem. It needs to be ready so I can grab it quick if I need it. Trying to get ideas and see what others have done.

I mounted mine under the driver seat towards the back so that I can rip it out from the back in case something goes wrong. Make sure you get an ABC fire extinguisher.

and one of it doing the thing

if you can't see the vids, its called "Element fire extinguisher" and its like a road flare, is based on space tech, is safe to breath, lasts way longer then a typical fire extinguisher and doesn't create a giant mess.

I wanted to get a 'clean style' that does not make the hard to clean up mess as a typical dry-chemical extinguisher

Hmmm.. that seems pretty cool. Now I have to do some thinking before I decide. I guess the only thing that makes me nervous about this is it is new and somewhat untested for "long term". It sure would be nice though to save a little weight and not have to fabricate a bracket (even know I can always use the welding practice!)

Binary used to make a mount that attaches to the front seat mounting studs. I don't think they sell it anymore, but maybe you could fabricate something similar. The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to keep the seat positioned pretty far back for clearance, but you could get more clearance with a custom mount.

Keep mine right next to the seat. H3R makes good stuff that doesn't break the bank. Their halotron extinguishers leave no mess too.

When I was looking into this after Binary stopped making these the closest thing I could find was this: http://www.bkauto.com/R_9540_Fire_Ex...t_p/r-9540.htm

Thanks!

Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it as they say.

Same principle as a condom....

anyways- I am stuck thinking between getting a small halon (spelling) extinguisher, and a "elementfire" style chemical one. Can't decide. I am leaning towards the "element" one.

Here’s mine - I have two in my car. The smaller one is at my driver’s seat clipped on the door sill trim and the larger is under the passenger seat secured with zip ties.
