Turbo replacement
Need help on which new turbo charger I should get to replace my stock turbo. Friends have recommended me to get FP Red turbo but don’t know if it will fit on my Tomei downpipe/o2 housing and JM Fab Twin Scroll Stock Replacement Exhaust Manifold - EVO 8/9. Any suggestions on what I should get to make it fit or look for some that will fit. My goal is to have around 550-600 hp on my Evo 8.
Any MHI-based turbo will fit your mani and downpipe. Any of the FP MHI turbos will fit just fine. I think they all now come with compressor covers with 84mm inlets, so you would need to change out your air inlet. While you are at it, you will need to ditch the stock airbox, if you still have it on, for an open element air filter.
