I recently had a shop do my timing belt water pump service, and at the same time upgraded the radiator.
As we were ready to drop in the new radiator, the mechanic noticed the wire harness that runs below the radiator support and radiator had melted together. I guess i must have pinched it back then when i took the stock radiator out. Anyways all the wires in the has melted together.

Does anyone know what exactly this harness powers? i think it runs to the a/c unit and power steering.. How can i repair this harness? Can i buy oem anymore? Do i need 2006 evo 9 5speed harness to be exact?

i think if the downpipe leaks it will blow exhaust right at that point and slowly char the wires.

you would have to buy a evo 9 engine harness and it would be a bear to replace the whole thing.

would be better if you could just repair it.

 

you can cut out the damaged wires and solder in good ones.
