2.4 evo wont start. TRIED EVERTYHING

Hey guys long story short, the car stalled on me one night and It had a strong smell of coolant. towed the car home and tried to start it and it would not start. so I pumped the gas and let it crank and crank for about 20 seconds and it would fire up and run ok but would smoke from the exhaust. my head gasket went. got the car to the garage to inspect the extent of the damage. got the head off the car and sent it to the machine shop for inspection to make sure there were no cracks or any other damage. after inspection it was determined that I had two slightly bent exhaust valves (not sure if it was related to the hg going or not.). so they replaced the valves with 2 new oem valves and a valve job was performed. we slapped the new HG on and put the head back on. timing is dead on, new crank sensor was replaced and the cam sensor was also replaced. seems we aren't getting spark. you can smell it getting fuel. replaced my spoolin up cop with known working oem coil and wires. still won't start. plugs are fresh as well. it cranks and cranks and cranks but won't fire up. don't know what else to do at this point.

make sure your timing sensor is plugged the one on the that reads the gear, and check to see if all the other sensors are connected. Its easy to miss one

rule of thumb get some tape and every sensor you pull of tape it and label it. I have some sensors I do not use anymore that just hang there.

we have double checked triple checked all of the sensor plugs. at this point we might start checking the harness for continuity.

3 components to ignition

fuel, compression, spark

check compression, if thats good then its spark that is the issue
