Rattle left front at 2k RPM
Got my evo IX a couple of months ago, recently i have noticed a rattleing sound coming from the front left of the car. I can feel it with my foot. when it happends, happends around 2-2,5k RPMs
Checked my belt and pulleys, nothing wrong there.
Checked for loose components in engine bay, havnt found any thing that can cause that sound.
Listen different spots on the engine with a ratchet extenension. for bad bearings etc. did not hear any rattling.
Any tips for what and where to check?
Scared it might be the rod bearing getting bad. if so anyone who have done this and can tell me about how they changed it?
Thanks
-Martin

do you have a downpipe on the car? check that it's not rubbing, or not close to the lower cross member brace. that's about the RPM where it will rattle
If it's close, grab a washer or two for each bolt, remove the brace, and re-install with the washers to space the brace off of the car for clearance
