I also wanted to make a lip thread so I'm going to barge in on this one. It's $340 at STM which isn't too bad, at that price there's no reason to get a fake in my opinion. Anything else similar to the SE lip? It's got just the right amount of aggressive about it.
  • GSR lip: It's honest, but kind of pricey for factory looks
  • SE lip: Looks great, but I don't want to build a fake SE (if I wanted an SE I would have bought an SE, GSR loud and proud)
  • RalliArt lip: Way too pokey, works for some cars but at my ride height it's just a shin splitter
  • Deck lip: Not bad, simple lines, but the front will scrape. Pretty low so it might need skirts to match
  • Chargespeed, Voltex: I'm a grown *** adult, get this **** outta here

I doubt it's possible to make the eBay RalliArt style lip look more like the SE by taking off material. Would be nice though, that edge is just too much for me.

Depends on your budget. During my rebuild I got a very cheap temp lip from IKON MOTORSPORT, I did not take the paint option. Not an exact fit but does work with some effort/ minor cutting...I really needed to get car past inspection and start road doing some road tests after all the work done on car. Held up for the past 6 months but is faded. Personally looking for a more permanent and better looking one so would agree with Name User if you have no issues in spending a couple of hundred on it, those are great options. Still on the economical side I am looking at s2autodesign.com option. Cannot find a true deck mechanical lip anywhere.

Hope this helps.

I think the SE lip thing applies more to drastic changes..its just a lip. Many, such as myself wanted a more raw evo such as the RS/basic GSR but want the look of the SE lip. swapping out factory options is not being wana be its more just customizing oem. However its the people who slap evo 9 front/rear bumpers on evo 8's that make it a wana be because it an entirely different vehicle.

The Evo 8 and Evo 9 are "entirely different'?

Yes, they are. Hence why one is called the evolution 8 and the other evolution 9. Im being alittle facetious, both are obviously so similar they're practically the same car aside form mivec, front bumper, and for jdm's rear bumper too but throwing on a 8 bumper on a 9 or a 9 bumper on an 8 makes it a wana be...this goes for any make/model of any car.

evo 9 bumper cover is just a wanna be gialla, so do what makes you happy and don't worry about it. Taking a fiero and making it look like a lambo, now that's wanna be. Swapping some body trim between years is just some OEM upgrades. If someone with a 9 wants to replace their crappy spoiler with a real carbon from an 8 that's just smart.

Try https://www.amayama.com
Need to figure out shipping to US though, try some freight forwarder, might be cheaper than the quoted shipping
