Lateral/longitudinal g-sensors

Not sure if this should be in drivetrain but oh well.
So as I understand it there are supposed to be 2 sensors but A)I only have 1 and B) they also operate as a roll over safety device and will shut off the things.
Is B correct? If yes do they need replacing after a roll?
I did the chassis swap from 06 to 04 and obviously don't know all the things and now chase the ACD lights. Evoscan now pretty much only says G-sensor but I'm having a hard time finding info on how these things function.
As for A...are they the same part number?

Yes, there should be 2 sensors. They're located between the parking brake handle and the shifter and they are the same part number. My understanding is they're used as inputs for ABS and ACD but they may serve other functions but I wouldn't think you'd need to replace them unless they were damaged. I've always wondered if it's possible to pull a data stream from them.
