Does anyone know what is the difference in serpentine belt idler pulley? Look like before March 2004 is different pulley than after march 2004. What is the difference between those two. Thanks

 

i had the same question early this year knowing the 8 & 9 had a different part# but MAP had sold me a part that is for 8&9 but is the old part number. could be bearing manufacturing change. I installed it and so far no issues

 

Thanks for answer. Look like the one on maperformance showing for evo 8-9 but when I type this part number on google it shows that this part number is for 2003 and until march 2004. Just wondering if there is any outside difference I mean diameter etc but look like that doesn't matter. I guess I have to buy one and find out.

 

I'm not even sure if the part I was replacing is the newpart# but it was very similar to what I got from MAP. if you google pic of the older pulley you might notice the a difference about the bevel around the bearing area
