Rear wiper motor thread broke off... Possible to fix or replace the unit?

As I was tightening the 10mm bolt that holds the rear wiper blade onto the motor the thread broke off.

Can this piece be replace or am I SOL and would have to buy a new wiper motor?

Also, is the rear wiper blade supposed to sit flush with the base? I thought it was supposed to sit flush and tightened the 10mm bolt to the point where the thread broke off.

They make a rear wiper delete plug for the back window. Might be an option.

Not a hard swap, all the stuff lives up in the trunk and likely easy to find replacement because of many folks going with the plug you heard about that one time. I pulled the spare from dead car in case of the picture you posted happening to me. I thiiiiiiink it might be same assembly as Outlander but check to be sure. For wrecker. To get it yourself. For cheap. I'm cheap. Sorta.

Yeah I was thinking about it but I live in an area where it rains a bunch. So the wiper is definitely handy.

Agreed. I've already taken out the motor. Was just hoping I wouldn't have to buy a new one since my current motor is working fine and I'd hate to toss it.
