Trunk drain for water in spare area

I started having a water leak into my trunk and spare tire area. I don’t see a drain in the spare area but I do have some type of round area that looks like it’s supposed to be a drain. Is this a drain or has anyone else drilled and plugged in case of water?

I dont think it has a drain for the spare trunk. Mine did not drain out when it got wet.

Its either a steel or aluminum plug in the trunk. I would check it with a magnet but it doesnt allow water to drain in the spare tire area.

I was able to pop it out. Ordered a new one since it’s rusted and I’m trying to coat the trunk. Will probably add a drain grommet in the middle somewhere in that plug for hosing out.

Would know where to find one for an evo 6? looking for a replacement for the same drain plug.
