Evo IX MR A/C only works in MAX A/C and the A/C Button does not work.

So my Evo Air Conditioning only works (And quite well) in Max AX. If I hit the A/C button it does not light up at all meaning the green light does not turn on when I hit the A/C Button. Now when I put it on MAX A/C it lights up and goes cold.

Any advice?

Thank you all!

Pic for attention.

I always liked those wheels. Rare. Not sure if this helps, but saw this 2 year old comment on this video just last night and figured might as well share it in case it does help you...

"I fixed mine in literally 5 seconds. The moment I used a screwdriver to depress the button, the entire AC panel control worked lol"

I didn't. Someone said that in the comments, so maybe there is something you can glean from the video? Just threw it out there in case there was. Hope you figure it out though.

I actually have this same exact issue with mine. You can get it to somehow work by pressing the button enough times from different angles and different firmness of the press. It's super inconsistent. To this day I've always wondered what the fix was.

This video while useful, doesn't really apply to OP's issue. The issue is the actual button not responding when you press it.

I totally get that the video itself is dealing with a different issue. The comment I quoted I thought sounded interesting and also thought that maybe it could spark an idea for the OP is all. I have no idea exactly what the guy did that made his A/C work again, but evidently when he followed the video, he fixed his problem rather quickly.

Well you fixed it! That worked! I pushed it in REALLY hard and it turned green. Then it would only work if I pushed UP and IN or DOWN and IN and now it works perfectly. Old Stuck Gauge. I shall get a new one. THANKS!

It doesn't help that the HVAC unit is kinda loose in it's plastic dowels, so when you push it's flakey.

My Gruppe-S gauge pod hvac bezel needed to be dremel'd to not make this button stick. I can see how this button gives some probs.
