Running lean!!
Running lean!!
Hi guys, I've gotten alot of great info off here and finally needed to post. I have a 03 evo 8 mostly stock, intake, 3" exhaust, VTA blow off valve, wide band o2 installed in place of stock rear o2, tune done before I installed the exhaust.
My problem is I'm getting misfires under throttle and rough idle. Ive replaced the plugs with brp7es gapped to .25. The previous plugs look white indicating lean conditions. Ihave new coils on the way but im thinking it might be a fuel delivery issue. Any ideas of what I should do? I'm probably gonna order a IAC valve and check out my fuel strainer in the tank. The car sat for about 8 months and I'm just getting it back on the road. Thanks in advance, you guys seem to be the best for knowledge.

You said that the plugs look lean? Is it lean? What does the wideband say?
Probably helpful to grab a log at idle to see what you are seeing.
If it is actually lean, then I'd dig into the fuel system. Check fuel pressure, clean and test the injectors, etc.
