3D Tool Request/Commission

Hey Evom fam. I have an inquiry regarding the printing of a special tool. I do not own a 3d printer, and don’t really have the space or money to acquire one. That said, I know a few members here have one, and I’m wondering if any of you would be willing to print a “tool’ for me.

Here goes: After adjusting/setting up my suspension, the front damper adjustment knob (inverted) is tucked up in the lower housing and, even with the car in the air is a bit difficult to reach and also turn. A local autoxer suggested printing a custom tool! So I’m thinking something winged on one end and the other end to grab the knob and turn it either direction. Sounds simple enough in my head.

If someone is willing to work with me on this, I have spare knobs from adding extensions to the rear, which I would be willing to also send to you for precise measurements. (I don’t want to add extension to the front based on the nature of the layout and have them just hanging). I hope my explication makes sense.

I got a Bambu P1S and can help out with the print but not designing it. It's not the best printer but it works. haha

Yooo! That's basically what I was thinking! Yea to adjust the compression, it's a 1-way coilover, which is inverted in the fronts. The rears I have the extensions which are easier to access.

thats a 16mm which is perfect for FA knobs. is your knob a hex? (or does it have a hex)

No, it's not a hex, it's rounded with etched sides for grip. Not my pic, but this is what it looks like. That tool was only $6 so if it doesn't work out, I'm not out a lot, but will have a better idea how to make it work.

for that I think you can use a stiff piece of plastic hose (like for sprinkler/drip watering ). heat it up and put/leave it on the knob. that should be solid enough for when youre counting clicks. for example
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Orbit-1-2-i...Tubing/3133813

this one worked but I'm not sure if it was slipping. having trust issues when making adjustments so dont use anything rubbery. you want to feel the clicks

I'm not sure what a shifter guide plate would look like and I don't know how that would work for my situation tho. See the pic below, but due to adjusting droop and comp travel, the knob is much further up the knuckle or whatever it's called, about 3 inches further up, maybe.

I think hes just asking if someone would design it. I've seen folks create lock out gates to avoid money shifts

anyway. the other tool is for my Shaftworks coilovers (19mm)

Ok I read this post before but I couldn't reply since I was logged out. I can make the tool for you. Just send me the measurements of the knob. Its probably not going to fit well since I will guess the tolerance needed for the knob.

It's just a smooth round shaft. But that moen faucet tool you originally recommended, the smaller end actually fits! I'm gonna use it temporarily until I Deylag can make one for me.
