If Mitsu goes bankrupt will there be a 2005 Evo?

If Mitsubishi Motors goes bankrupt this year will there be a 2005 or even a 2004 model available?
If this is the case, then I am going to completely re-think what car I am going to buy in one year. I dont like the STi nearly as much as the Evo and I really wanted to stay with AWD. This may leave me with the S60-R and the S4 to decide from. I didnt want to spend that much, but it looks like I just may have to now.
Any input or other suggestions?

EVOPros)
-Practically unlimited tuneability
-Unlimited creative potential from such a huge aftermarket
-Reliable and totally fun
-Practical
-In modified trim (AMS Turbokit, etc) it will outperform anything, period.
(Cons)
-Horrible Mitsubishi Dealers/Service

S60-R: (Pros)
-Excellent Build Quality
-Luxury and Sport in one package
-Turbo I-5 with 345+HP potential
-Practical
(Cons)
-Not a large aftermarket following
-Might not be able to personalize as much as the Evo

S4: (Pros)
-Really beautiful sounding V8
-Practical
-V8 with 400+HP potential
-Luxury and sport in one package
(Cons)
-Most expensive of the bunch (48k with my options)
-Questionable Audi Reliability
-Did I mention it's expensive?

I HATE it that people keep saying Mitsu sucks, I have cams, exhaust and EVERYTHING in my car, I brought it in for a problem and they fixed it for free! Also someone running a 150shot blew his evo up, covered 100%. People just need to stop being *******s to the people that work on the cars and may have better luck. Service ROCKS!

Daimler Chrysler had a significant piece of Mitsubishi motors. The parent corp is still Mitsubishi amd as stated it is a huge corporate conglomerate. If in fact the motor division is separated from Mitsubishi it will be absorbed by another entity it will not just cease to exist.

Mitsubishi will not go bankcupt that easy.....they only having problem in the Mitsu. Motor. And car is not their only business.......they still have Banking, Heavy Industrial, Housing, Shipping, Oil, Steel, Power........etc.

Mitsubishi is one of the biggest company in Japan just like the General Electric here in USA.

they woudnt fix a friggin bad spark plug if they could charge me and get away with it

personaly i dont like mitsu service
and i think its wrong to assume everyone that trash talks mitsu cause they got horrible service was being inpolite or nasty to a service rep or mechanic or anyone else at that dealer

Dude don't buy an Evo!!! It's unreliable and Mitsu service sucks . If it were a reliable car then it would be OK, but it's not. Mitsu district reps will look for any reason to void your warranty after several claims. I've experienced this myself.

that's one case, there's much more cases where they deny and void the warranty.

and like everyone else is saying, Mitsubishi Motors is having trouble, not all of Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi Motors will probably live, i doubt they'll just disappear. you'll get your 2005 evo..

Im sure new investors (whether the mig Mitsubishi company or any other companies) can help bring Mitsubishi out of the quagmire it's in at the moment. If not, the Japanese government has to step in; if MMC is to go down, thousands of people will lose their jobs, slowing down economy, resulting in even more job losses, etc...its an endless cycle
