Here are some pics from the mag, I took them with a camera because I have no scanner, so if you don't like the angle, TOUGH LUCK, it was the only way to eliminate flash glare.

All I have to say about this pic is.. WHOLLEY **** THOSE LIGHT COVERS ARE UGLY. Oh and so is the grille. My god.. what are they doing. Oh yeah I particularly like the first sentence of the article above: "Here is the first unofficial image of Mitsubishi's upcoming Lancer Evolution VIII" HUH!??? THAT MEANS NOTHING!!!! I CAN HAND DRAW AN UNOFFICIAL IMAGE... man.. anyway..

 

And here is the article (or part thereof, see the first image for the end of it) on the S202 STi... NOW THIS LOOKS GOOD! (And I'm an EVO fan...)

 

I dont like the front...but its an Evolution, so I guess I'll give it some time, maybe it'll grow on me

 

One other disturbing piece of information in the article was this:

"The Evo VIII (the official name has yet to be decided) will continue with...."

Uhhmmm... official name? Uhhhhhhh.... Please.. don't tell me they are going to come up with some PANZY *** NAME for the US... maybe they dont want to offend christian zealots!!!

Ok. That is NOT an accurate picture. I think we've all seen..or should have seen the real pics of the Evo VIII by now. It doesn't have those headlights...the only thing similar is the grill where the Mitsu emblem is.
Keep in mind that magazines are a good month behind....
They say around 28k...I did hear a few months ago from someone that the goal for price was around 28,600.
All the other things they mention...we've been talking about for awhile.

BTW, If anything, it may be called "Evolution" instead of Evolution VIII"

 

I'd also like to point out that later on in the same mag, they have a feature on cars destined for 2003, yes the EVO VIII is in there, and get this, they state the following:

"It's coming, with upward of 270 bhp, all-wheel drive, 17-in. wheels, sport seats and four doors. The Lancer Evolution VIII is a $30,000 rocket ship..."

Uhhmmm..... 20 pages ago you said 275 bhp and $28,000... WHO IS YOUR EDITOR!?!??!?! SHOOT HIM NOW!

 

Yeah i read posts.. havnt seen that one before. Where did you see it?

 

Gotta backup bfdd...the black Evo concept has been around for a while. Probably one of the earlier shots we saw a while back, following the gold hand drawn picture.
