Drifting the Evo

Watched a guy try to drift his evo last night it was pretty funny. He comes around the first cone all out and the car doesn't break loose, lol, same with the second, third, forth, and so on. Just basically went around it like a road course, but with out the lines and throttle control, it was pretty ugly,at the end it he pulled over in the pits and had broken something, it was pretty amusing to watch, I must say just thought I would share that.

Wow, he must have not tried hard enough, hell I made a FWD Celica GT drift (yes, no hand brake, just a good weight transfer through a turn), so drifting a AWD with this much power should'nt be that hard.

I thought you couldn't drift the awd cars, but only powerslide. Honestly, I don't know the difference. Plus i'm too scared I'll flip over haha.. When I had my turbo teg I went crazy though.

u can drift anything if your nuts lOL. That dude used to have a RS and would tear it up . He was awesome. Anyway If thats the white EVO that went, I seen a chick in it. Dont know if it was her mans car or what. But if Rhys MIllen gave up drifing the EVO then the average joe should not try it LOL.

I've drifted mine a few times, I should take some pictures of the turns i've hit in it, freeway on-ramps, and curbed turns (turns with curbs on the inside and outside) Its jsut too damn fun not to drift, the car handles beautifully and so responcive in the turns.. however in the AWD you need to enter the turns at a higher speed then u typically would in a RWD car to get the AWD to let loose.... I usually enter at a minimum of 60/65 depending on how sharp of a turn it is.... more of the 45 degree turns are taken at higher speeds but for the 90's its usually 60-65 entering... Anything steeper then 90 i try not to drift, i've taken a few entering around 45 i think... its been a while

Like previously said, you can drift anything, if you have the ***** to, and the stupidity... lol

Yeah it was the white one there, and I did see the girls with it. You think it was theirs, that would be even funnier. And I too have drifted my evo its not the easy thing to do to get it to break loose but you can do it, and it is fun, like someone said a little bit before you just have to carry more speed into the turns, and I do the heel toe thing to get the wheels to shift weights.

O c'mon man, it's not the car, it was the driver going too wide and hitting that little curb thing on the side of the track. Did you see how planted the car was at all other times? I would feel quite safe in the evo doing that kind fo stuff.

If I can do flat out, chunk spewing donuts with an Evo, I figured I could drift it. I put some less grippy Sumitomos on and it made it very easy, but by no means is is appropriate for the Evo.
